Biography

Hi, welcome to my website.

 

It is a new venture for me and proves that people who are getting on a little bit in years can adapt to modern methods.

 

First some information about me. I am a 70 year old father of four, two boys and two girls aged between 35 and 21 who have between them presented me and my wife Irene, with ten grandchildren. I was first elected to the County Council in 1993 representing Rushey Mead. I have represented Thurncourt, Belgrave, Charnwood and now Belgrave again as a City Councillor.

 

I am currently the President of the Leicester Railwaymens Club, a position I have held since the year 2000. I am also the Chair of the City Council Licensing Committee and my other interests within the Council include Procurement.

 

I also enjoy viewing Sporting activities, particularly involving my grandchildren, gardening and do-it-yourself.

I am a lifelong Socialist, joining the Union when I was sixteen and joining the Labour Party in 1983.
